Quick trip up north. First to Bradford staying at the antiquated but charming Midland hotel and to Pudsey Civic Hall for Grimethorpe Coliery band concert. Pie and peas in the interval.
Detour on Sunday morning via Howarth in the Yorkshire Moors .
But back down to Burton upon Trent for 2pm in time for a brilliant concert at the Town Hall by Fodens.
Stopped outside Lichfield cathedral on the way down to Leamington Spa en route back to London.
